Playing diferently??
Jumped a bit to play some games yesterday to disconnect a little from all the latest insane news I've been following the last couple days.
On Granblue VS Rising lately people have been telling me that I've been playing differently and able to score more times wins against previously unwinable sets.
I guess my brain had finally started to grasp the concept of fighting games, and at the end it turns out the fights are becoming more entertaining and less stressful regardless of outcome.
Either way I continue to go full Menhera with Vira-chan and hopefully the slow but steady progress continues
A big update for the game is coming in August 20th which will change many things for all the characters, game modes and lobbies so I guess i will have to adapt to even more changes coming down the line.

Insane Summer Event
Today as summer is officially starting in most games, Granblue Fantasy held their main summer one and it happened to be also the very first event Ive played from beginning to end of this mobile game, and now I understand why its the N1 mobile game in Japan.
It was an incredible story with several twists and many interesting folklore references on it, and pushing the limits of what a browser can do imo.
With a total runtime of the whole story of around 4 hours of fully voiced cutscenes, I think it became clear the characters are incredibly charming and beautiful, it looks like I have to play the main game more as a marathon as it features at least 5 big stories spawming more than 100 chapters which a runtime of around 1 per each.
You really cannot rush this game, I think its better than Relink itself... despite being all in 2D

4000 Fights
It's been roughly 6 months since the release back in December of Granblue Fantasy VS Rising and just yesterday I noticed I had crossed the 4000 fights mark!
However, as you might know with fighting games this doesn't really means much as I'm still learning, very slowly, learning about the game specific mechanics and matchup situations across all the character roster.
In the meantime I also noticed how many people had left the game, had become more apathic for some reason in the lobbies (I believe it's related to the pressure regarding Ranks and whatnot) and it's becoming more and more difficult to find training partners..
I guess it all sounds very familiar to a situation happening with PSO isnt it? lol (sigh)
As for the main Granblue stuff I'm totally hooked now to their universe I think its super lovely and all the characters are amazing.
It's a game that no matter what happens just for it's presentation and appeal factor wins a lot all the time even against other more established fighting games like Street Fighter 6 or Tekken which is having a rough time with Tekken 8...
Let's go for the 8000 fights mark! see what changes by then shall we?

HELLO! How do you do!?!
It's been a while since the last time I was writting stuff but I've been busy with work and with my insanity in these last couple of weeks! nothing new in the menhera world. (well, maybe a couple of things but will leave those for another post...)
As for now I wanted to give a small update on what had happened in the Granblue World, as you might know the game kinda became my new favorite RPG series, and I've been playing quite a lot of Granblue VS Rising, the fighting game I've racked about 3800 battles already and I'm still sucking a lot in this game !!!
However not all is lost as i've been slowly, but surely (i think?) learning the fundamentals of a fight aka footsies and wiff punish and baiting the opponent but I'm still miles behind most players in this game, still it wasn't all so bad the game is lovely as usual and the new characters they are adding they are improving in the animation department a lot !!! and with that that's enough to continue selling me the game no problem!!
As for Granblue Relink (the other game) which is an adventure kinda like Monster Hunter while its incredibly detailed and gorgeous with the graphics I kinda got bored of it very quickly, yet they seem to keep updating this game with new things such as this lovely Photo mode managed to take a pic or two to try it out like this:
But to be honest theres no erally much else to do here after clearing the main scenario, i was really hoping for a PSO replacement kind of game but it's incredible to this date no other game have managed to properly execute a nice copy over the PSO formula and improve it into something new (well are you surprised cat? no not really!!....)
Other than that the grind in VS continues and it's still the number one game I'm playing right now when I'm not busy debugging stuff in PSOBB
Will we ever be finished with this game?? maybe??/

Since the PSO days I haven't felt as much fun as I'm having playing the new Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, it is a fighting game based on the characters and universe of Granblue Fantasy the No1 mobile game in Japan.
The character are super lovely but what impressed me the most is how they decided to implement a whole lobby to meet and greet everyone and play matches but at the same time theres a space for Soccer, for the Minigames, Claw Machines in a little arcade area and I think they will soon add a Fishing Area too.
I'm very glad to feel once again a lively lobby system since the PSO/PSU days haven't felt that way, specially as most MMORPG games nowadays are very single player like or, barely anyone talks in them so it feels you are always playing with bots and NPCs.
I've been playing it religiously since it came out in december and I just keep getting destroyed but just for the lobby aspect of it encourages me a lot to keep trying. Plus I needed a new fighting game urgently...
It's been such a pleasant surprise, so now I need to decide how to tackle both games at once...
